Album Info:I always knew that the CHW and the Shenandoah Valley R.R. exchanged freight in Pleasant Valley but never knew when or how often? I had some time to kill so I took a quick drive to Pleasant Valley knowing that CHW's V91 would probably be working there. The SVRR makes about a 20 mile trip from Staunton, VA. Pleasant Valley is just a stones throw south of Harrisonburg. Several major company's operate there and the CHW is there life line. Its hard to believe that your so close to a city with 50K+ and probably 80,000 when our two universities are in full session, when your in Pleasant Valley. I have my doubts about this remaining such a rural area because of Harrisonburg's rapid development. Harrisonburg is already on her front door step! In 1980 when I graduated from high school the population was around 15,000 or 30,000 with one university and one college.
